Under The Spire has struck gold again with this, a vinyl reissue of Quicksails’ Silver Balloons In Clusters, which was originally released on cassette by Deception Island in early 2011. Ben Billington drops the sticks for the most part here and wires up the synths instead. Quicksails is a radically different sound for the man best known for his drum work in Tiger Hatchery and some almighty solo percussion sessions. Hakobune – W...
The first full digipack album released by Somehow Recordings welcomes Takahiro Yorifuji aka Hakobune. The release is titled ‘While shadows sweep across the lawn’, consisting of two tracks coming in at just under 40 minutes. Photography is by Sarah Maria Raun. Hakobune uses layers of guitar to create his sonic landscapes. Yorifuji is from a small town in Hyogo, Japan and currently resides in Kyoto.
